I Saw Gillian Anderson at MegaCon 2026

So the line to get into Orlando MegaCon is long (as always):

And the line to see Gillian in a large conference room was long (it filled up faster than I expected):

But it was worth it to see Agent Scully Gillian on stage!

And of course the line for the photo op to stand next to Scully for 3.7 seconds was (at this point, not surprised):

And the line for autographs (attempting to drop off a print copy of my fanfic) was too long for me to wait any longer (as at that point I'd been standing for 6 hours or running around so much my step tracker app told me I had done 4 miles walking by then, oy my feet) that I decided against doing it (I went and sat in a corner of the West hall for an hour to recoop). 

I wonder if I should share my photo standing next to GA. I hope she wasn't too embarrassed by my cosplay attempt.

Okay So I'm Ecstatic for MegaCon 2026

All apologies for not posting here... since... (checks notes) 2023?!? 

Granted, I've been distracted by other things: writing projects, getting books self-published, herding cats, coping with social anxiety and chronic depression, yadda yadda...

But When I heard that at this year's Orlando MegaCon that Gillian Anderson was planning to appear, well...

Yes, I am going to see her (there will be other X-Files cast members in attendance so the odds are they will have a round-table group for the fans). I even spent the extra money to pose for a photo with her. I rarely do for these 'cons, it always felt like an extravagance. But now? Yeah, I'm stoked.

I may even break out the trench coat and risk sweating it out dressed as a spooky FBI agent for the 'con.
